Texas A&M Texarkana @ NTCC

As a result of a partnership between Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) and Texas A&M
University-Texarkana, six teacher certification programs are currently being offered on the NTCC campus in Mount Pleasant. Students, after receiving core requirements through NTCC, can then make a seamless transition to A&M-Texarkana to complete the final two years of coursework.  All Texarkana coursework is offered on the NTCC campus, and is taught by A&M-Texarkana faculty or via distance education.
In an effort to further expand baccalaureate programs on the NTCC campus, A&M-Texarkana is now also offering courses leading to:

  • Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
  • BAAS - Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences
  • BBA - Bachelor of Business Administration

The majority of the coursework leading to these degrees can be completed on the NTCC Campus.

Harts Bluff School

Harts Bluff ISD as we know it started in the school year of 1959-1960. It was a result of the consolidation of two school districts, the Nevill’s Chapel Common School District and Oak Grove Common School District. They consolidated because Oak Grove School enrollment became too small to continue classes. They picked a location that was half way between the two original buildings and built a new school building. It was named Harts Bluff because of its location to the Harts Bluff Farm to Market Road. A few years later Midway School District consolidated with them and it became a three-way school consolidated District.
