Titus County Public Safety Cook-off is Saturday

The eighth annual Titus County Public Safety Brisket, Beans and Chili Cook-off will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Titus County Fairgrounds

The Nortex FVD is the team to beat as they took Braggin’ Rights last year.

The money raised from donations by member of the public who come and eat goes towards the Casey Buechel Memorial Scholarship. “This is about keeping Casey's dream alive,” said Sugar Hill Fire Chief Jerry Clark. “All proceeds go toward the education of the first responders.”
Entry categories include: Class 1 – Titus County Public Safety Brisket Teams; Class 2 – Public and Corporate Brisket Teams; Class 3 – Mutual Aid Briskets (Responder Organizations outside of Titus County); Class 4 – Chili Cook-Off teams; and Class 5 –Beans Cook-Off teams.
Come join all the fun, and also see the police, EMS and fire trucks on display.
